• Chesterfield fire displaces 2 families (westernmassnews.com) — A house fire on Main Road in Chesterfield has destroyed a home and displaced two families, who are now receiving help from the Red Cross. Firefighters from several hilltowns battled difficult access up a steep driveway, rescued two cats, and contained the blaze in about 30 minutes. One firefighter suffered minor injuries, and investigators believe improperly discarded smoking materials likely sparked the fire.
