Concord Internet Outage Was From Animal Damage To Wires

The town's broadband technicians found a fiber break cause by an animal.

CONCORD, MA — Concordian's woke up on Monday to spotty broadband service and complete outages in some parts of town.

Concord's broadband crews worked through the morning and early afternoon to get service back online — they found the cause of the outages in the afternoon. An animal broke fibers, cutting service to several areas. The town estimated at 4 p.m. that service would be restored in two to three hours.

Three streets were directly affected by the outages: Orchard, MacArthur and a small portion of Main Street.
