Emerson Hospital Welcomes John Libertino To Board Of Directors

Dr. Libertino is a urologist with Emerson Urology Associates.

CONCORD, MA — Emerson Hospital has a new addition to its board of directors. John Libertino was elected to Emerson Hospital’s Board of Directors.

Dr. Libertino is a urologist with Emerson Urology Associates. Dr. Libertino works closely with members of the board and Emerson’s CEO, Christine Schuster.

“We are very pleased to have Dr. Libertino join Emerson’s Board of Directors,” said Gloria Clough, chair of the board. “As an exceptional surgeon with ties to Emerson’s community and a focus on caring for patients with complex medical issues, Dr. Libertino brings an essential perspective to the board.”

Prior to joining Emerson in 2016 as chair of the urology department, Dr. Libertino held several senior positions at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, including CEO and chairman, chairman of the division of surgery, vice chairman of the board of trustees, and director of the Sophia Gordon Cancer Center. Dr. Libertino completed his residency in urology at Yale-New Haven Medical Center and is a graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine. He is board certified in urology and surgery and has treated patients for more than five decades.
