• New year, smart money: High school students learn financial literacy in Massachusetts (wcvb.com) — Students at Concord-Carlisle High School are getting a head start on real-world money skills through a hands-on financial literacy class and “reality fair” that simulates adult expenses. Led by math teacher Lori Fortunato and a student-run outreach club, the program teaches budgeting, credit, loans, and saving, while also pushing to make personal finance a required course across Massachusetts. 
• Sandra S. Guarino, 68 (laconiadailysun.com) — Concord readers are remembering Sandra “Sandi” Guarino, who was born in Concord in 1957 and went on to build a life centered on family, gardening, and horses in New Hampshire. Her family is holding a private celebration of life and suggests memorial donations to a horse rescue organization she cherished.
