Police Log: Man Allegedly Threatens Brother, Crashes Mom's Car

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, July 24

7:16 a.m. – A Frances Street resident called to report a loose dog in the area overnight.

10:43 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a school bus attempting to turn around on Lexington Road by Orchard House, causing a traffic concern. The responding officer noted the bus was on its way from the area.

12:19 p.m. – A Pepperell woman reported losing a diamond solitaire somewhere between her hometown and Monument Square in Concord.

1:12 p.m. – Police responded to a reported of a suspicious person sitting outside in a parking lot on Old Road to Nine Acre Corner.

3:02 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of the Route 2 rotary.

4:35 p.m. – A New York resident requested assistance with harassing/threatening phone calls from his brother, who was in Concord at the time. As a result, a Dorchester man was cited for threatening to commit a crime.

7:21 p.m. – A cyclist reported observing a small cow outside of a fence near the National Park trail along Lexington Road.

8:16 p.m. – Police responded to a reported hit-and-run accident involving a black Mercedes sedan on Main Street. Around the same time, the sister of the Dorchester man cited earlier called to request a welfare check on her brother, whom she said was intoxicated and driving his mother’s car. Police eventually made contact with the man, who will be summonsed for marked lanes violation, leaving the scene of property damage and reckless operation of a motor vehicle, according to the incident report.

10:51 p.m. – A 911 caller from Buckmaster Drive reported a man in a Ford pickup stopped at the end of his driveway and rummaged through trash left on the curb.
