State Police In Concord Stop Men With Drugs, Gun
State police found a duffle bag full of pills, heroin, marijuana and gun ammunition.

CONCORD, MA — The Concord State police unit stopped a car on Wednesday in Lowell that had a duffle bag full of pills, heroin, marijuana and gun ammunition as well as over $2,000 in cash.
The stop happened just after midnight on Wednesday when Concord troopers saw a black Honda Accord with no front license plate and illegal window tint. When police ran the backplates, they found it was registered to a different car and pulled the car over.
The driver, a 30-year-old Lowell man, initially gave police a fake name. Once troopers had his real name, they found two active warrants for his arrest in the system. Another man in the passengers side, also from Lowell, had a small duffle bag between his legs, state police said.

When he stepped out of the car, police said the zipper of the bag was open, exposing a clear plastic bag containing yellow pills. Inside the bag, troopers found seven more bags of varying pills, a box containing a substance believed to be heroin, and marijuana along with 9mm ammunition and a high capacity magazine containing 29 rounds of ammunition.
Both mean are expected to be arraigned at Lowell District Court tomorrow on several charges including drug possession, illegal firearms possession and intent to distribute.
