CONCORD, MA — A worker was rescued from a deep hole at a construction site near downtown Concord Tuesday morning, according to the town fire department.
Firefighters responded to 63 Bruce Road after a worked reportedly fell about 6 feet into the hole near where a home is being demolished. The firefighters used special equipment designed for rescuing people from confined spaces to retrieve the worker, who was suffering from an undisclosed injury.
"He was trapped in a relatively small opening, and we had some challenges getting him out of there with an injury," said Concord Chief Thomas Judge said in a news release. "I'd like to thank all of our companies who worked together to bring this rescue to a successful conclusion."
