Danvers Library Closed Through Weekend
The library staff is still cleaning up from the activation of a sprinkler system near the circulation desk earlier this week.
DANVERS, MA — The Peabody Institute Library in Danvers will remain closed through the weekend, with officials now hoping to reopen by Wednesday. The library has been closed since Tuesday afternoon, when a sprinkler went off near the circulation desk. Most of the library's collection was spared by the accidental activation, but the clean-up effort has been extensive, officials said.
