May 7 3:11 p.m. - Juvenile shoplifters were reported at the CVS at East Dedham Plaza. May 8 5:51 p.m. - During a traffic stop on Cedar Street, a driver was issued a citation for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and attaching plates. May 9 10:10 a.m. - An officer observed a Nissan Altima parked while facing oncoming traffic on Colburn Street. The driver then suddenly pulled out into traffic and made an improper U-turn without regard for traffic. When police attempted to stop the car, the driver increased the speed of the vehicle down Bussey Street. Police eventually lost sight of the vehicle, but a caller reported a vehicle matching the suspect's vehicle on River Street towards Oakdale Square. The vehicle was located at the intersection of Mt. Vernon Street and Sanderson Avenue. The driver was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, and reckless operation.
