Dedham Board Of Selectmen Unanimously Approve Annual Goals
The goals include increased transparency improving community facilities and improving and maintaining the towns financial health.
DEDHAM, MA — The Dedham Board of Selectmen unanimously approved the 2020 annual goals at Thursday night's meeting.
The goals were created in collaboration with Town Manager Leon Goodwin earlier this year. There are 31 individual goals listed for the year, but they are grouped into four categories:
- Improve Communication and Increase Transparency;
- Support Modern Governance, Enhance Intragovernment Relations, and Foster a Culture of Excellence;
- Maintain and Improve Financial Health and Stability of Community; and
- Continue to Improve Community Facilities, Resources, and Amenities.
Some examples include recruiting for diversity, adding a full-time communications professional to town hall, maintain AAA bond rating and address town wide transportation issues.
