A Dedham church member was one of six peace activists arrested outside of Hanscom Air Force Base.Pat Ferrone of St. Susanna Parish in Dedham; along with John Bach of Arlington and Cambridge Friends Meeting; John Schuchardt of the House of Peace in Ipswich and Veterans for Peace; Laura Evans of Unitarian Universalist Society of Rockport; Jerald Ross of Chelmsford, First Parish Bedford and Massachusetts Peace Action; and Dan McLaughlin of Cambridge, were arrested and charged with trespassing by the Lincoln Police Department.The arrests came following an attempt to deliver a letter protesting nuclear weapons development to the base commander, <a href="http://bedford.wickedlocal.com/news/20180529/six-arrested-outside-hanscom-during-nukes-protest" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">according to State House News.</a>The base is the home of the Program Executive Office for Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications, which works to improve the communication system that would be used during a nuclear war.All six were due in court May 29.<hr />Image via Google Maps
