Dedham Country Day School Headmaster to Retire

The headmaster at Dedham Country Day School is ready to call it a career after 12 years on the job.

Nick Thacher, originally of California, will retire in June, the Dedham Transcript reports. Come July, Allison Webster of Cambridge’s Shady Hill School will assume Thacher’s position.

Before settling down in Dedham, Thacher worked as a headmaster at schools in California, Wisconsin and, Connecticut. He also taught English for many years upon finishing college.

Thatcher is proud that he helped “shape the future” while carrying out the school’s mission each and every day.
