Dedham Driver Avoids Injury After Hitting Tree, Utility Pole

A motorist who struck a tree and utility pole in Dedham on Sunday evening miraculously walked away from the accident without injury.

Dedham police say a Ford pickup traveling east on High Street was forced to veer off the road in order to avoid an oncoming vehicle.

The driver clipped a tree, nearly knocking it to the ground. The truck then struck a utility pole.

Police say the driver walked away unscathed.

The incident remains under investigation.
