Dedham PD Deploy Extra Traffic Patrol For Speedsters

DEDHAM, MA — Dedham police were able to add extra traffic patrols to the streets as part of the National Click It or Ticket campaign. The department is stressing that they're expecting a slight increase in the number of drivers on the road for Memorial Day weekend.

The extra patrols were added through funding provided by the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security.

Officers were already set up on Providence Highway on Thursday on the lookout for speeding cars and passengers and drivers without seatbelts on. Some towns have seen an increase in speeding as fewer cars on the road give the illusion to some drivers that speeding is acceptable.
