Dedham School And Community Resource Golf Tournament Canceled

DEDHAM, MA — Dedham's Police School and Community Resource Golf Tournament is canceled for this year. The police department made the announcement on Wednesday that the annual tournament would not happen. This would have been the 33rd year of the tournament.

The event is hosted by the Dedham Country and Polo Club. Police said school resource officers, representatives of the Dedham County and Polo Club and members of the community had been working diligently to craft modifications to the tournament programming to ensure a safe event under Covid – 19 conditions, but in the end, the group decided it was safer to cancel.

"We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all those who tried to organize a safe event this year and to all of the generous community members who year after year support this event and ultimately our school and community programs and events," a statement from police said.
