Dedham Set to Honor Bernie Logue With Annual Run

Logue, a native of Dedham, tragically died in 2005 following a fall from a parking garage.

The Dedham Education Foundation and The Village Manor have teamed up for their seventh consecutive year to host the annual “Bernie’s Run” event.

The three-mile race, which runs down Sprauge Street and back through the streets of the Manor neighborhood, is held each year in honor of Bernie Logue. Logue is a former employee for the Village Manor and the Boston Red Sox.

Logue, who served as a clubhouse attendant and chef for the Red Sox, died after tragically falling from the sixth floor of parking garage in 2005. He was just 30 years old.

The race will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4. A pasta dinner will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for runners and guests.

Food, beverages and awards will be given out in the Village Manor parking lot following the race.
