Dedham Residents Invited to Help Clean Mother Brook

A community group is asking for the public's help in cleaning up trash from the water at the Mother Brook in East Dedham.

Dedham’s Mother Brook Community Group is always looking for ways to improve the neighborhood and town. This weekend, the group is inviting local residents to lend a hand with the cleanup of an East Dedham treasure.

Water levels at the Mother Brook will be lowered this weekend to allow officials the ability to inspect and repair the Colburn Street Dam. In wake of the event, the Mother Brook Community Group will be taking the opportunity to clean up some of the trash that has found its way into the water over the years.

The group will be meeting on both Saturday, August 29th, and Sunday, August 30th, at Condon Park at 10 a.m. to improve the historic resource in East Dedham.
