Three Candidates Eye Role of New Dedham Town Manager

The Board of Selectmen this week interviewed the candidates and plan to move forward next week.

Dedham moved one step closer this week to finding a new Town Manager.

The Dedham Board of Selectmen on Wednesday met with the three candidates vying for the role previously held by Bill Keegan and currently held by Interim Town Manager Nancy Baker.

“Each candidate presented themselves well,” Selectmen Chair Jim MacDonald told Dedham Patch Friday. “Right now, each member of the board will be reviewing a DVD of the meeting as we determine what our next step is going to be.”

The board is set to meet next on Thursday, Sept. 18. The board, at that point, may look to hold a second round of interviews or will be “at the point where we’re ready to make our decision,” MacDonald said.

The selectmen, in addition to the interviews, visited the communities of each candidate, MacDonald said.
