Town Of Dedham: Dedham Parks And Recreation To Host Holiday Programs

The Dedham Parks and Recreation Department is excited to host three upcoming holiday programs for Dedham residents in the month of December.

Twelve Days of Holidays

Beginning Thursday, December 2nd, the team from Parks and Recreation will begin a series dedicated to celebrating different holidays throughout the month with virtual story time on Zoom. The schedule of events is as follows:

• December 2 through December 5: Hannukah stories at 8:00 p.m.
• December 9 through December 12: Christmas stories at 6:30 p.m.
• December 27 through December 30: Kwanzaa stories at 6:30 p.m.

Each night, Parks and Recreation Chairwoman Lisa Moran will read a story aloud to children and families who wish to attend that celebrate each holiday, along with special guest appearances from fellow Park and Recreation Commissioners. This event is offered at no charge and is open to children of all ages. Those who wish to attend can register online at www.dedham.activityreg.com and select “Register for Activities”.

Santa Paws

For all the dog parents in Dedham, Santa Paws is coming to the Dolan Center on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon for photos. Registration is requested in advance of the event and can be done online by visiting the Parks and Recreation website at www.dedham-ma.gov/departments/parks-recreation.

Walk-ins are welcomed, but will be done on a first come, first served basis. You will be asked to register upon arrival. Each photo session with Santa Paws is $10 and comes with a printed photo and digital photo for your personal use. Don’t forget to tag the Parks and Recreation Department on Facebook using @DedhamParksandRecreation!

Calls From Santa

This annual tradition is back, and the list is growing! Registration is open and there is still room to sign up to receive a call from Santa Claus. The online form is available on the Parks and Recreation website and is available to everyone interested at no cost. Santa will be available to make his calls on December 20 and December 21 before he heads off on his world tour.
