• Chesterfield fire displaces 2 families (westernmassnews.com) — Deerfield firefighters were among several area crews called to help battle a house fire in Chesterfield that destroyed a home and displaced two families. Access up a steep driveway slowed response, and one firefighter suffered minor injuries, but two cats were rescued. Investigators believe improperly discarded smoking materials likely sparked the blaze.
