D-S Robotics Club Reaches Semi-Finals at States
The team, Broken Code, made a strong showing in their first year as a club team.
The Dover-Sherborn High School Robotics Club competed in the FIRST Tech Challenge Massachusetts State Tournament on Saturday, March 10.
Twenty-four teams representing high schools and youth groups across the state competed at Andover High School for the honor of representing Massachusetts at the World Championship in St. Louis this spring.
The D-S team, Broken Code, was eliminated in the semi-final round.

They got off to a rocky start as their robot was disabled for much of the first two matches when communication with the field control system faltered. The team worked during a break to troubleshoot the problem and eventually installed a replacement wi-fi module, which was borrowed from the Sharon Youth Robotics Club.
Paul Krusell, co-founder of the D-S robotics club said, “It is awesome for our fledgling club to make it to States in our rookie season, and next year is sure to be even better."

The teams from Lexington High School, Sharon Youth Robotics and St. Sebastian’s School in Needham will advance to the Worlds.
