Monday- August 15, 2011

Suspicious Activity- 3:30 p.m.

Dedham Street- Reporting party reported two strange men at her door, described as men in business suits.

Motor Vehicle Crash, Leave Scene, Property Damage- 4:38 p.m.

Centre Street- Reporting party reported that while crossing the Centre Street bridge, a white box truck heading towards Needham came into his lane and ripped the mirror off of his vehicle. Reporting party stated that he pulled over on the other side of the bridge the white box truck slowed but then took off toward Needham.

Tuesday- August 16, 2011

Breaking and Entering- 1:56 p.m.

Yorkshire Road- Reporting party reported a possible attempted break-in at the rear of the home.

Motor Vehicle Complaint- 7:10 p.m.

Springdale Avenue, Channing Pond- Caller stated that a vehicle passed her as she slowed down for a cyclist. The vehicle then almost went head on with oncoming traffic. An officer spoke with the operator of the suspected vehicle and the operator admitted to passing the reporting parties vehicle. Citation mailed to the operator for marked lanes violation.

Wednesday- August 17, 2011

Animal Complaint- 9:00 p.m.

Centre Street- Reporting party reported three small raccoons in a tree five feet from his home and saw them trying to get in a screen.

Noise Complaint- 11:08 p.m.

Hartford Street and Walpole Street- Caller reported a loud party. Officer reported large amounts of smoke from fireworks in the intersection. Area checked, no one found.

Thursday- August 18, 2011

Larceny Under $250- 8:21 a.m.

Walpole Street, Dover Mobil- A Mobil employee called to report a drive-off. Amount owed $30.89. Partial match found. Phone number located and notification made. Involved party spoke to.

Littering/Illegal Dumping- 11:26 p.m.

Centre Street- Party reported finding pornographic material on the trail on Centre Street. Officers advised to check the area for suspicious activity.

Friday- August 19, 2011

Fire, Other- 3:30 p.m.

Main Street- Resident advised of a lightning strike in the area and a smell of smoke.

Utility Complaint- 3:47 p.m.

Dedham Street and Strawberry Hill Street- Walk-in reported that he drove by an electrical transformer during the storm that was sparking.

Saturday- August 20, 2011

Directed Patrol- 8:10 p.m.

Powissett Street, Grossman Day Camp- One vehicle was parked on Powissett Street. Operator stated that his dog ran off after a deer. He wanted to try and find the dog because it was now dark. Officer checked the length of Powissett Street, no dog found.

Mutual Aid- 11:16 p.m.

Walpole Street, Dover Police Department- Officer administered breath test for a Medfield PD arrest.

Sunday- August 21, 2011

Operating Under the Influence, Arrest(s) Made- 2:55 a.m.

County Street and Walpole Street- Officer reported one in custody for OUI. Arrest citation issued for OUI liquor, defective equipment, and a seatbelt violation.

Disturbance- 11:24 a.m.

Turtle Lane- Reporting party called the station to report that after a function on Aug. 20, a wedding guest had taken a golf cart into the woods. Officer reported that the cart had front end damage. Cart will be removed from the woods on Monday.

Monday- August 22, 2011

Tree Down- 1:13 a.m.

Dedham Street, Dover Town Library- Officer reported that there were tree limbs in the library parking lot. Highway Department notified.
