Monday- Oct. 10, 2011

Trespass- 12:30 p.m.

Old Farm Road- Resident stated that her neighbor informed her that there were hunters trespassing on her property. Neighbors called to confirm that hunters had set up cameras on private property without her permission. Party was from the Walpole Wildlife Association and were hired by the town and given permission by a Walpole Street resident.

Motor Vehicle Crash- 10:44 a.m.

Junction Street- Caller stated that a motor vehicle crash occured on Junction Street. Reporting party called back stating that a vehicle had struck a tree and there was damage to her side mirror and was heading toward Farm Street. Vehicle gone on arrival.

Larceny Over $250- 1:49 p.m.

Farm Street- Resident reported additional attempted larceny from credit card.

Motor Vehicle Stop- 4:43 p.m.

Walpole Street- Criminal application issued for a suspended license. Officer had the operator pull into the police station parking lot and had a valid driver meet him to operate the vehicle.

 

Wednesday- Oct. 12, 2011

Animal Complaint- 3:17 a.m.

Cornell Road- Caller stated that she believes there is a raccoon in the house. Officer reported that the family dog had the raccoon trapped. The officer removed the raccoon from the house.

Animal Complaint- 4:49 p.m.

Dover Road- Calling party stated that the vehicle in front of her hit an owl. The owl was injured in the roadway.

 

Thursday- Oct. 13, 2011

Fire, Other- 7:06 a.m.

Crest Drive- Resident stated that the wires in the front of her house were sparking and a second caller stated that a tree limb was catching on fire. Problem resolved and personnel cleared.

Fire, Other- 2:29 p.m.

Washington Street, Sherborn- Sherborn requested a tanker truck for a working barn fire. Fire dispatched.

Erratic Operation- 4:43 p.m.

Centre Street- Needham PD reported that they had a motorist on the phone reporting an erratic vehicle heading on Central Ave. in Needham to the Dover line. The reporting party stated that the vehicle was jamming on their brakes erratically when no one was in front of the car. Reporting party also stated that the vehicle hit the curb several times, crossed the yellow line and almost rear-ended a car that was making a left turn. Officers stopped the man who said he was reading a map and not driving erratically.

 

Friday- Oct. 14, 2011

Medical Emergency- 2:15 p.m.

Unresponsive female in the woods behind a house. Transported to MetroWest Hospital in Natick.

Motor Vehicle Stop- 4:04 p.m.

Main Street- Written warning issued to operator for speeding and not having a license in possession. Written warning issued to owner for unregistered and uninsured vehicle.

 

Saturday- Oct. 15, 2011

Found/Recovered Property- 10:41 a.m.

Centre Street- Wallet turned in. The owner of the wallet was located and the wallet was returned by an officer.

General Information- 2:00 p.m.

Walpole Street- Reporting party delivered a copy of a no trespassing order to the station. Copy placed with dispatch and in subject's file.

 

Sunday- Oct. 16, 2011

Bicycle Complaint- 10:36 a.m.

Powisset Street and Walpole Street- Motorist reported a large pack of bicyclists that were traveling 3-4 across on Powisset Street. Detective Hagan spoke with the riders from the M.I.T. Cycling Club who acknowledged riding two across. Det. Hagan spoke with another resident who confirmed seeing the cyclists riding 3-4 across on Powisset Street.

Motor Vehicle Stop- 11:56 p.m.

Springdale Avenue- Written warning issued for speeding.

 

Monday- Oct. 17, 2011

Animal Complaint- 4:04 a.m.

Old Meadow Road- Caller reported hearing noises in his roof and would like an officer to check the house. Officer reported there was a raccoon on the roof. Officer spoke with the resident who said he was going to have an exterminator come to the house.
