Pacesetters are the fundraising “stars” of the event. To achieve Star Pacesetter recognition, walkers must raise $1,250; Two-Star Pacesetters raise $2,500; Three-Star Pacesetters raise $5,000 and walkers who raise $10,000 achieve Four-Star Pacesetter status. Young Pacesetters are children age 12 and younger who raise at least $500.

“The commitment of our walkers, especially at the Pacesetter level, is crucial to the Jimmy Fund Walk’s fundraising efforts,” said Ann Beach, director of the Jimmy Fund Walk.

The 24th annual Jimmy Fund Walk will take place on Sunday, Sept 9 and aims to raise more than $7.5 million. Nearly 9,000 people are expected to participate. Since 1989, the Jimmy Fund Walk has raised nearly $80 million for Dana-Farber.

The Jimmy Fund Walk, a one-day charity walk that supports all cancers at Dana-Farber, gives participants a unique opportunity to walk the historic Boston Athletic Association’s (BAA) Boston Marathon route and to raise money for Dana-Farber. The BAA has supported the Jimmy Fund Walk for 24 years.
