Dover-Sherborn Middle School One-Act Comedic Plays THIS Weekend

Dover-Sherborn Middle School Drama Proudly Presents . . . A Night of One-Act Comedic Plays!

The three one-act plays, directed by DS High School students, will be performing THIS Friday and Saturday Nights at 7:00pm at Mudge Auditorium, 9 Junction St, Dover, MA.

Have you ever been to a show and the person behind you just won't stop talking? Appropriate Audience Behavior, directed by senior Grace Mulrooney and sophomore Miranda Savla, is a cleverly crafted play where you are actually watching the audience watching a play. And not just an ordinary audience, but one that includes just about every bad audience member imaginable - from a cough-drop obsessive to a guy watching Hamlet like a football game!

Gravestone Manor, directed by juniors Bradley Hodson-Walker and Dylan Melenovsky, is a hilariously haunted collection of spoof-like skits. A vampiress dating game show, multiple personalities popping up in a haunted house, domesticated werewolves meeting their daughter’s boyfriend, interviews for a new monster-under-the-bed, and a support group for monsters who aren’t all that scary anymore are sure to bring a few ghoulish giggles to audience members of all ages.

The final show, the One Act Play Disaster, directed by seniors Emmeline Morgens and Rori McManus, will also be performing for the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild Drama Festival hosted at DS in Mudge Auditorium on Sunday. Watch as the cast tries to perform their show, while anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. Crippling stage fright, an uncoordinated acrobat, a dollar-store set, a mixed-up understudy . . . will they be able to run through their run-through?
