DSHS Senior Annabel Hodson-Walker to Perform with All-National Choir

Students were chosen through a competitive audition process.

Dover-Sherborn High School senior Annabel Hodson-Walker has been selected to sing with the 2016 All-National Honor Ensemble Choir. Students were chosen through a competitive audition process. Eligible students qualified for their district and state-level honor chorus programs and competed against top students for a spot in the National Honor Ensembles.

Annabel will be traveling to Grapevine, Texas outside of Dallas on November 10th and will be rehearsing a challenging repertoire in preparation for performing at the National Association for Music Education’s Conference on November 13th. The gala concert will showcase the musicianship of students from across the nation celebrating music education and the arts. The All-National Ensemble Choir will be performing under the direction of renowned conductor, Dr. Anton Armstrong, who has received top honors in his field.

“As a culmination of my nine years of participating with the Dover-Sherborn choruses and vocal ensembles, it is a thrill to reach the national level of singing in my senior year of high school,” said Hodson-Walker. Annabel has also performed with the Massachusetts Music Educator’s Association Eastern Senior Districts Chorus in 2015 and 2016 and at Symphony Hall with the Massachusetts All-State Chorus in the spring of 2016.
