The music and farm festival celebrates local agriculture, music, and community spirit with an eclectic lineup of bands, offering something for everyone’s musical taste from rock to up-tempo jazz to bluegrass and country. Musical highlights include performances by School of Rock’s House Band from Natick, Postage Due featuring up-tempo jazz with Dover-Sherborn Middle School Jazz Band Director Tom Duprey on Trumpet, Rebel Beets showcasing Dover-Sherborn alumni, two Dover bands - the Dover Demons and TBD, plus Hillbilly Pop + Friends from Holliston with their bring-down-the-house rendition of Wagon Wheel.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of Silverwood Organic Farm in Sherborn, Farmapalooza aims to raise awareness about sustainable farming practices and an appreciation for local certified organic farms while offering a platform for local musicians, business partners, and charities. In addition to the musical acts, guests can enjoy tractor rides driven by farm owner Jonathan Hodson-Walker, steering a classic John Deere Tractor through the farm's fields. Farmapalooza will also feature a variety of children's activities to keep the whole family entertained. From face painting to farm-themed activities such as planting seeds, farm friendship bracelets, farm tattoos, veggie prints, and a farm photo booth, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Additionally, attendees can partake in lawn games such as volleyball, Kan Jam, spike ball, and hula hoops, providing another opportunity for families to enjoy a Sunday afternoon outdoors on the farm.

"We're thrilled to host our first-ever Farmapalooza," says farm owner Lisa Hodson-Walker. "We hope to create an experience where our community can come together to enjoy live music, explore the farm, connect with friends and neighbors, appreciate the outdoors, the historic farmland, and what our local community has to offer.”

Dover-Sherborn High School senior, Nathan Caplan, has played a big role in organizing Farmapalooza, dedicating his senior project to key elements such as lining up food vendors and charities, designing marketing collateral, and doing publicity. Charitable organizations close to the hearts of Dover-Sherborn High School students and families were chosen to share their missions with attendees, including JB's Keys to DMD, DS METCO Scholarship, and SADD. Caplan has also been working with Deb Barnet from the Good as New Shop at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Sherborn and will be helping to transport several racks of merchandise to the canopy tent on the farm giving attendees the opportunity to shop “good as new” quality clothing, providing another way to support a local cause while listening to live music.

Farmapalooza attendees can purchase delicious ice cream treats from T. C. Scoops Ice Cream Truck, delicious dishes from the menu of Buttercup Restaurant of Natick, specialty drinks from Crafted Beer and Wine of Holliston, and authentic homemade lasagna from Pinci Foods of Holliston. Additionally, local Boston ‘food, wellness + lifestyle’ content creator @Farmgirl.Foodie will be giving away many free samples from a variety of her favorite healthy food product companies.
