Five Things You Need To Know This Weekend: Dec. 17 and Dec. 18

Be sure to check here for useful information about what is going on in Dover and Sherborn this weekend.

 

1. Parent Talk will hold their Frosty's Festival on Saturday form 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Parent Talk Playspace at the Caryl Community Center. There will be crafts and activities for children, a North Pole express mailbox for letters to Santa and photo ops with Santa and Mrs. Claus and other winter friends. The event is free to Parent Talk members and costs $5 per child for non-members (children under 12 months get in free).

2. Saturday is the first day of the Charles River School's winter break. School will start back up again on January 3.

3. D-S Raiders weekend schedule:

Saturday- Boys varsity ice hockey at Medway at 12:30 p.m.; girls varsity ice hockey against Canton at 8:00 p.m.

Sunday- Boys JV ice hockey against Medfield at 8:30 p.m.

4. Take out your stretchy pants and yoga mats for yoga at Unity Hall at the Unitarian Universalist Area Church at First Parish in Sherborn on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

5. Ever think your kids could learn Chinese in Dover? The Dover Town Library is teaching Mandarin Chinese through music, songs, and games for kids of almost all ages! The program is free and no registration is required. There are two sessions on Saturday: 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 for kids ages 6-months to 4-years-olds; 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for 8-year-olds to 12-year-olds.
