Man Taken to Boston Hospital After Scaffolding Fall in Dover

The man fell off of scaffolding while painting a house on Turtle Lane in Dover.

A man was taken to a Boston hospital earlier today after suffering injuries from a fall while painting a house on Turtle Lane in Dover.

Rob Clesley, 45, was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center after he fell from scaffolding at a house he was painting at 10 Turtle Lane at about 11:50 a.m.

“He was conscious and alert the whole time. It looks like landed on his left side. He had pain in his upper left leg,” said Dover Police officer Jon Cash.

Cash said that Clesley fell about 12 feet to the ground and he was taken to the Boston hospital by a Westwood ambulance as a precaution.

Cash said that the injuries did not appear to be serious but whenever a person falls from a height of more than six feet they are transported to a Boston-area hospital because they would be able to receive a better level of care.

“It looks like he took all of the safety precautions that were necessary,” said Cash. He said he was not sure how Clesley fell but that he may have lost his footing.

Last month, a passed away after suffering injuries from falling off of a ladder at her home on Church Street. In January, a suffered a serious head injury after falling at a house that was being built on Hawthorne Drive in Dover. Both were flown via medical helicopter to Boston hospitals.
