Memorial Fund Provides New Saxophone for Pine Hill School Band
The Joseph Almasian Memorial Fund recently donated a new tenor saxophone to the Pine Hill School music program.
The follwing was provided by Ani Gigarjian, daughter of Joseph Almasian.
Thanks to the generous donations supporting the Joseph Almasian Memorial Fund from the Sherborn community and beyond, the Pine Hill School is now the proud owner of a new tenor saxophone for it’s fifth grade band.
Joseph Almasian (1931-2011), a Sherborn resident for 50 years, was an active performing musician on many instruments, as well as a lover of good music.

He had the opportunity to see the Pine Hill band program grow in numbers of students and the quality of their performances, and would have been happy to continue the support of the program through the Memorial Fund.
Not only did his own three children benefit from the Pine Hill band programs many years ago, but his two grandchildren Anoush and Aznive both continue their love of music though the Pine Hill and Middle School bands.

The memorial fund hopes to make additional contributions to the music program in the future so that music can continue to be a positive experience for so many of our children.
If you’d like to donate, future contributions to the fund will also be gratefully acknowledged and appreciated.
