New Burger Joint Set to Open in Natick Dec. 11

Smashburger will have a location in Sherwood Plaza near Christmas Tree Shops.

Earlier this summer, the Natick Planning Board approved the plan to open a new burger joint on Route 9.

Smashburger will open at Sherwood Plaza on Dec. 11, near Christmas Tree Shops.

The popular burger restaurant plans to add some regional flare to the menu.

The Natick menu includes highlights such as:

  • The New Englander burger topped with cranberry sauce, grilled onions and cranberry stilton; 
  • The Cranberry BBQ, Bacon & Cheddar burger topped off with haystack onions; the Spinach, Cucumber & Goat Cheese Chicken Sandwich with tomatoes and onion and finished with a balsamic dressing; 
  • The hand-spun shakes like Peanut Butter & Jelly and Chocolate Oreo. 
Those looking for healthier options will be able to choose a lighter-side selection of dishes that are 600 calories or less, and alternatives like gluten-free buns, Veggie Frites and organic beverages. 

“We are thrilled to launch our better burger concept in the Boston area. Our burgers start with certified-angus beef, topped with ingredients like fresh sliced avocado and are served on butter-toasted artisan buns,” Smashburger Founder & Chief Concept Officer Tom Ryan said in a statement. “Our menu provides guests with the ability to try one of our signature creations or to get creative and build their own.”
