Over the past couple weeks NStar has begun surveying the vegetation along most of the town's roads in anticipation of a town-wide tree pruning effort set to begin next week. Blue ribbons are being placed around trees which NStar is going to recommend be removed as part of their Vegetation Management Program.  NStar will not remove any tree without written permission from the Town or private landowner on whose property the tree is located. To notify NSTAR of a tree you believe may need trimming you can fill out NStar's online form <a href="https://www.nstar.com/secure/nstarsecure3/residential/customer_information/treetrimming/tree-trimming_request_form.asp" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here</a>. The program will begin Tuesday, June 12, and will last approximately 8 weeks.
