Officers Respond to "Loud Explosion," Hit-and-Run

The Dover Police Department provided the following information. Patch prints all arrests.

Tuesday, March 19

12:34 a.m.: A caller reported a crash on Dedham Street. An officer tried to make contact with a suspected third driver but no received no answer from a call or knock on the person's door.

Officers later issued a criminal summons to an operator for leaving the scene after property damage and operating to endanger.

12:22 p.m.: A caller reported a loud explosion and power outage on Ruel Drive. Officers responded and determined a pole on Hartford Street has a blown transformer. Police notified NStar. 

2:25 p.m.: A caller reported several harassing phone calls asking for a person who does not live there. The caller reported a possible scam and agreed to not answer the phone calls in the future.
