Sweetie is a very pretty 3-year-old kitty who was rescued last winter after she was seen wandering in a neighborhood for months. Sweetie is spayed and up-to-date on her shots and has been at the shelter since the middle of February, patiently waiting for a special person to come along and adopt her. Sweetie is currently living in the cage-free room with several other cats. She isn't too outgoing, but will come out and play if the shelter isn't too busy. When there are a lot of visitors, she will retreat to her favorite cat tree and just watch all that is going on. She does take a little time to get to know you, and for some reason greets everyone with a hiss, only to then let you pet her and even rub her tummy. Needless to say, she doesn't make a great first impression, and therefore is overlooked by adopters. We are really hoping someone will give her a chance and get past a bad first impression. She really enjoys attention and loves a few of our volunteers so much she actually drools while they are petting her. She is a great cat and just needs someone to give her a chance. Is that special person you? If it is, please call the Shelter at 508.359.8989.
