Sherborn Police Log: Possible B&E, Search for Unknown Person

The following information was provided by the Sherborn Police Department. When arrests are mentioned no convictions are indicated.

Tuesday, October 16

Branch in Road (5:56 a.m.) - A caller reported that there is a branch in the roadway on Woodland St. and that the schoolbuses won't be able to get through. Officers removed the branch.

Scammed (10:43 a.m.) - A Dunkin' Donuts employee reported that they had been scammed out of $15 yesterday. The employee did get a license plate and passed it along to police.

Possible Attempted B&E (7:25 p.m.) - A resident of Harrington Ridge Rd. reports that there is someone on his property. The caller wasn't able to get a good look at the person to give a description, and wasn't sure which way the unknown person fled. Officers responded to search for the person, and a State Police K-9 unit was requested and arrived. The fire department was then called to put out a tree fire, which police believe may have been set by the unknown individual they were searching for.
