Sherborn Police Log: Walgreens Evacuated After Gas Leak

The following information was provided by the Sherborn Police Department. When an arrest is mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, Dec. 8

7:53 a.m.: A caller reported a low-hanging wire causing a hazard on Brush Hill Road. An officer responded and determined the wire was an inactive telephone wire and is not a hazard at this time. 

8:56 p.m.: A caller on Washington Street reported a cat that had been struck by a motor vehicle. Animal control responded to pick up the animal.

Sunday, Dec. 9

7:31 a.m.: An elderly female caller requested extra patrols of her area Sunday afternoon. The request was relayed to Dover Police.

Monday, Dec. 10

2:20 p.m.: Officers responded to Walgreens on North Main Street after an employee reported an odor of gas in the building and confirmed a positive gas reading with a gas meter. The building was evacuated and the Fire Department solved the issue.
