Sherborn Swimmer Wins Sportsmanship Award
Sherborn teen Leah Byrnes recently received the Jim DeSimone Award from the Wellesley Swim Association.

Sherborn teen Leah Byrnes recently received the Jim DeSimone Award from the Wellesley Swim Association (WSA) which was presented at their annual banquet.
The memorial award is given to a WSA swimmer who exemplifies commitment to individual and team development, a strong work ethic, support of fellow team members, good sportsmanship and a leadership both in and out of the pool.
Leah has been a member of WSA since 2003 and finished her season as a co-captain. She was also a co-captain of the Dover-Sherborn swim and dive team.

Leah swam for 12 summers for the Sherborn Snappers. She is also a certified life guard and works summers at the Wellesley Country Club.
