Sherborn teen Leah Byrnes recently received the Jim DeSimone Award from the Wellesley Swim Association (WSA) which was presented at their annual banquet. The memorial award is given to a WSA swimmer who exemplifies commitment to individual and team development, a strong work ethic, support of fellow team members, good sportsmanship and a leadership both in and out of the pool. Leah has been a member of WSA since 2003 and finished her season as a co-captain. She was also a co-captain of the Dover-Sherborn swim and dive team.  Leah swam for 12 summers for the Sherborn Snappers. She is also a certified life guard and works summers at the Wellesley Country Club.
