Sherborn Teen Earns Eagle Scout Rank

Troop 1, Sherborn to hold Eagle Court of Honor in recognition of Jack Edward Kozlowski

Sherborn, MA — Boy Scouts of America Troop 1 Sherborn announces that Jack Edward Kozlowski has recently completed all the requirements for the rank of Eagle Scout. The rank of Eagle is the highest award in Scouting and is earned by less than 4 percent of Scouts. An Eagle Court of Honor will be held in recognition.

For his Eagle Scout Projects, Jack chose to restore the Little Farm Pond overlook bench. This was a special spot to Jack as he could walk there frequently from the trails behind his home and is a treasured location for many in Sherborn. Jack reached out to the Broadmoor Audobon Sanctuary to enlist their help and approval. The new bench was created from naturally sourced fallen white oak, hand carved pegs, and is free of sealants, paints, and fasteners which allows it to be safe for the surrounding environment, yet can withstand the elements. With the help of his fellow scouts the team went to work and a new bench was installed in March 2024.
