SPAN-DS Drug, Alcohol and Tobacco Prevention Booklet For Students Released Today

The booklet will be mailed to households with students in Dover and Sherborn schools.

SPAN-DS released a new booklet, A Parent’s Guide For the Prevention of Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Use Monday.

The booklet is being mailed to households with children in the Dover and Sherborn school system and will be available to other community members at various locations in both towns.

From elementary grades through high school, it is full of useful information about how to talk to children to help prevent them from choosing to use alcohol or other drugs.

The guide also contains valuable information regarding signs and symptoms of alcohol and other drug use, scientific data regarding brain development and local resources for getting help, among other topics.

This publication is made available through funding provided by the Boards of Health of both Dover and Sherborn.
