Despite the rain and cold over a hundred people came to see Dover's holiday tree lighting Wednesday night hosted by Dover Parks and Recreation. People packed into the Dover Town House to see the lighting of the tree from inside and watched the Chickering Elementary School band and chorus play holiday favorites like "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" and "Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel." The kids in the band were wearing Santa hats along with fake elves ears and antlers. After the performance people went to the basement of the Town House to enjoy hot chocolate and cookies.
