• Medical Notes: Dec. 15, 2025 (masslive.com) — Adults in East Longmeadow who’ve lost a loved one to suicide can attend a free, peer-led Survivors of Suicide Loss support group every third Monday at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home on North Main Street. The broader roundup also highlights grief, mental health, cancer, stroke, and recovery support groups across Western Massachusetts and online, many of them free and open to local residents.
   

• Excel Dryer's Denis and Nancy Gagnon Honored at Service Above Self Luncheon (businesswest.com) — East Longmeadow-based Excel Dryer owners Denis and Nancy Gagnon were recently honored for their extensive community service at the 15th annual Service Above Self Luncheon. Recognized alongside NBA legend Julius Erving, they were praised for supporting numerous Western Mass. nonprofits and for keeping Excel Dryer’s manufacturing and jobs in the United States, reinforcing their philosophy of giving back to the community.
