5 Things April 1 in Easton: Live Music at Hibernia

1. MCAS Prep at Maplewood

Help your child increase his/her math and literacy skills by taking part in our MCAS preparation program taught by Easton Public School Teachers and CertifiedSpecialists Jeannie Baxter, Margaret Folan and Michelle McParland.

For one hour each week, students will work in small groups to review strategies foranswering multiple-choice questions and to develop the skills necessary foranswering Open Response responses and Short Answer test items on both theMath and English Language Arts sections of the upcoming MCAS tests.

2. 'Making Informed Decisions on College' at Ames Free Library

Today at 6:30 p.m.

Todd Weaver of Strategies for College, Inc. will be offering a free workshop on how to make college affordable. Todd’s experience in integrating financial aid with the college search has helped families find great academic “fits” for the students and financial “fits” for the parents.

• How the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) is calculated
• How families can create their own “Working Family Contribution”
• Guidance on the process of Enrollment Management for today’s college levels

3. Live Music Tonight at Hibernia

Hibernia presents local legend George Deliyiannis tonight from 6-9 for an evening of great music. Join us for dinner and drinks and enjoy the live music.
