Bomb Threat Reported At Easton's Oliver Ames High School

EASTON, MA — Authorities are investigating a bomb threat reported at Oliver Ames High School in Easton, police and fire officials said Tuesday.

According to a statement released by the Easton Fire Department, authorities were called to the school around noon after the school received the threat. The school was evacuated and authorities are searching the building, authorities said.

The district issued a stay-in-place order for all other Easton schools.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area at this time due to the large presence of first responders, according to authorities. Parents should follow school guidance regarding student pickup today.

The Easton Fire Department and Massachusetts State Police are providing assistance with the investigation.
