Brockton Arrest Has Ties to Easton House Break

State Police were able to trace a firearm to a 2011 Easton housebreak.

An arrest made this week in Brockton has ties to a 2011 Easton housebreak, according to Massachusetts State Police.

Jamie Monteiro, 19 of Brockton was arrested Monday night unlawful carrying of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device and receiving stolen property $250, according to Trooper Thomas Murphy of the Massachusetts State Police Department.

Murphy said Monteiro possessed a gun obtained from an Easton house-break in March, 2011.

The arrest was made when members of the state police gang unit stopped at 80 Turner Street in Brockton to speak with a group of residents. Troopers noticed Monteiro try to conceal the gun was carrying, according to Murphy.
