Easton Marijuana Policy Forum
A moratorium on recreational marijuana in Easton expires June 30, 2018.

EASTON, MA — Easton officials will host a public forum on the town's marijuana policy this week. The hearing will be held Thursday, December 14, at 6:30 p.m at Frothingham Hall.
"The session invites residents to meet the Town’s Marijuana Policy Advisory Committee, learn about the existing law as it pertains to the sale and cultivation of marijuana, and learn about policy options for the Town to consider prior to the June 30, 2018 expiration of a moratorium on recreational marijuana sales and cultivation in Easton," Easton officials said in a statement. "The Marijuana Policy Advisory Committee was established by the Board of Selectmen in September of 2017 and is charged with researching policy options to best serve the needs of the Town in light of the legalization of recreational adult use marijuana."
The statement continued, "Comprised of representatives from the Selectmen, Board of Health, Planning and Zoning Board and the Easton Police Department, the Committee is holding this session early in the process to ensure community input is considered as they prepare their recommendations. The Committee will be joined by Town Administrator Connor Read and Town Counsel Kate Feodoroff to facilitate the listening session and answer any questions the public may have."
