Easton Obituary: David V. Welch Sr.

David Welch passed away Saturday. Below is his full obituary from Kane Funeral Home:

At age 78, Dave, surrounded by his loving family, went home to be with his Lord on March 23, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Idella. Dave leaves behind his best friend and wife Lois; his children Michele Blanchard, David Welch, Jr., Dennis Welch, Janine Welch (Walker), Colleen Pino and their brother Tom Kelliher, their spouses and children. His pride for his family could be seen on his face. He is the brother of Dick, Pat (Russell), Kevin and the late Frank and Matt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, brothers' and sisters'-in-law. A self-employed building contractor, he is a veteran of the U.S. Army. Dave made a huge presence wherever he was with his many stories, strong hugs, laughter, whacks on the back, generosity, and caring for his fellow man. He just loved life with great enthusiasm.

A Mass will be held at Holy Cross Church in Easton, MA at a later date along with a celebration of Dave's life. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton.
