Irene T. Picarsky, 80, a resident of Easton for the past39 years, died Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Good Samaritan Medical Center after a period of failing health.
Born in Boston on August 26, 1932, a daughter of the late Alexander and Louise (Ivanoski) Picarsky, she was raised in Boston and was a graduate of Girls High School in Boston. Irene continued her education earning a Bachelors of Science in Nursing
from Boston University.

Irene was employed as a licensed registered nurse for Boston City Hospital for 35 years. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, arts & crafts and she was a veracious reader. She also admired dogs, especially schnauzer's.
Irene is survived by a sister, Dora "Dot" Doherty of Easton; two nieces, Paula Doherty and her husband Jerry O'Connell of Easton and Ellen Vachon and her husband Brian of Milford; three great nieces, Emily Iddings of Easton, Rachel and Jessie Vachon of Milford.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. Private interment will be held at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Easton.
