Easton Shooting Christmas Morning: Police
Easton police said a man was shot twice on Massapoag Avenue Christmas Day.

EASTON, MA — An Easton man was shot twice in his home Christmas morning, according to police. The victim is a 50-year-old Massapoag Avenue resident in North Easton, police said. His identity has not been released.
Easton police Chief Gary Sullivan said police were called to the man's house at about 2:50 a.m. Monday.
"Upon arrival, rescuers were directed to a rear pool house, where they located a man who had been shot twice by an assailant who allegedly fired into the pool house from outside," Sullivan said in a statement.

The man was hit by bullets in the shoulder and torso areas. His injuries were considered serious but he is expected to survive.
"A preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was targeted and that this was not a random act of violence," Sullivan said. “We do not believe that there is an active threat or danger to the community, but we are always asking residents to be vigilant. If you see something, say something by calling the Easton Police Department."
