For the second time this season, the Oliver Ames baseball team came up on the winning side of a pitchers' duel against the Black Knights, this time earning a 2-0 victory at Stoughton Monday afternoon.
Dave Holmes pitched five scoreless innings for the Tigers. David MacKinnon pitched the final two frames, preserving the shutout.
MacKinnon scored the game's first run in the top of the fourth on a sacrifice fly from Andrew Mancini. OA added an insurance run in the fifth when Brad Fleming scored on a Mike McMillan single.
Stoughton loaded the bases in the bottom of the fifth but did not score.
With the win, OA improves to 10-3, while Stoughton falls to 7-9.
