Two former state workers are being charged in the death of a woman in a Fall River pool last summer.

Two former Department of Conservation and Recreation workers who oversaw the Fall River pool where a woman drowned last year are due in court today to face criminal charges for mismanaging the pool and its water quality, Boston.com reports.
Brian Shanahan, the former regional director, and Jeff Carter, a former district manager, are being charged with reckless endangerment of a child.
Marie Joseph drowned June 26 in the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Pool in Lafayette Park. Her body went unnoticed for two days because of the poor water quality in the pool.
